Hoya Gunung Gading is a rare hoya that features pencil like veination that is from Sarawak, Boreneo. This Hoya is a bit more challanging than some of its more commonly available cousins and is recommened for experianced plant owners. Gunung Gading likes higher humidity and heat.

Hoya:

All cuttings will be cut fresh right before being shipped.

They will be carefully packaged and shipped USPS priority.

Light: Bright indirect light is recommended, generally West and/or East facing windows are ideal.

Watering: Hoya’s in general need to dry out fairly well before watering, the “rule of thumb” is to stick your finger into the soil and water when the top 1”-2” are dry. Your watering cycle will change based on your homes humidity level and the plants natural growing cycle, during the spring and summer while the plant is actively growing it will need to be watered more often.

Repotting: Hoya’s do not generally need to be repotted, they like to be semi-root bound, if you do choose to repot please wait a few weeks after receiving to allow your plant to acclimate to its new environment, and do not increase the pot size by more then one size.

Humidity: This Hoya appreciates higher humidity

Fertilizing: We find that hoyas appreciate light fertilizing at regular intervals we recommend about 1/4 strength general purpose fertilizer at least once a month.

If you have any issues with your order please reach out within the first 48 hours with pictures and descriptions of the plant(s). Please note, while we make every effort to package your plants with care it is not unusual to have a few damaged leaves during the shipping process, as these are live plants. Some plants are less tolerant of the stress of shipping than others, and may arrive looking limp, but they should recover quickly with proper care and time to acclimate to your home.

Please be advised that every plant is a little different in its likes and dislikes, this is partially because all home environments are different. These are all just the general care instructions for these plants and you may have to make slight changes in order to fit your plant and your home.
